Mercado Libre accounting with IVA and ISR done properly

Withholding is the part that generic bookkeeping gets wrong, and it is the part that decides what actually reaches your bank.

Withholding is not an expense, and treating it as one is wrong twice

Mercado Libre withholds IVA and ISR: 8% and 2.5% if your RFC is registered, 16% and 20% if it is not. Numarico reports them as their own lines, keeps them out of profit — they are a prepayment against tax you owe anyway, not a cost — and takes them off cash, where they really do land. It also models the MXN 299 free-shipping threshold and the fixed per-unit fee below it.

Try it before you believe it

Tell it whether your RFC is registered and it shows both the withholding and what is left, in pesos.

How the import works

Mercado Libre does not publish a commission rate we can read first-hand, so the calculator asks for yours rather than assuming one — a number you can check off your own listing beats a number we guessed. The importer reads the export and marks its fee figures as approximate rather than presenting them as exact.

The calculators are free. The books are the paid part.

No account needed for the calculator, and none ever will be.
